Week 35 of pregnancy and still running 🤍 Honestly Week 35 of pregnancy and still running 🤍

Honestly, it feels like such a gift to keep moving at this stage. Most days I feel pretty great-something I definitely don’t take for granted. That said…nothing is exactly comfortable anymore, and getting out of bed has officially become a full-body event 😅

My number one strategy for keeping it going? Nutrition. Prioritizing carbs around my runs (and consistently throughout the day), making sure I get protein at every meal, and including enough healthy fats to help satiety.

And yes- that includes fun foods too. Things like homemade ice cream make this whole process feel a lot less about being “perfect” and a lot more about building sustainable habits. Plus, who’s turning that down? 🍦

Not gonna lie-the hardest part right now isn’t the Not gonna lie-the hardest part right now isn’t the miles…it’s finding workout clothes that actually fit AND feel comfortable.

This week:
🏃🏼‍♀️14 running miles (plus plenty of walking)
⏱️Paces are 1:30-2 mins slower than pre-pregnancy-and that’s ok!
💪🏻 Strength training at least once

Every run looks a little different these days, but I’m just grateful to keep moving and listening to my body.

One thing that pumps me up? The growing body of research supporting exercise during pregnancy. It’s helping to rewrite the narrative for all pregnant individuals- active or not yet active.

Growing a human AND staying active? We’re doing both🤍
This season of life feels like its own marathon-wo This season of life feels like its own marathon-working full time, prepping for baby #2, showing up for everything on my plate…and trying to protect my sanity.

Lately, I’ve been reminding myself that nourishment is not about perfection-sometimes it looks like simply choosing to nourish my body the best I can.

For me, that’s meant as a balance of both comfort and intention:

-Having veggies somewhere on my plate. Sometimes they are the main event, other times they are on the side.

-Slowing down on the weekends to cook and bake (my happy place)

-Taking some time on the weekend to plan ahead for meals. If all else fails, keeping a backup pizza in the freezer.

-Making meals I actually look forward to- fig & pig quiche, sourdough pancakes, salmon rice bowls (thank you @parsleyandprosecco for the inspo!)

It’s not about being perfect- it’s about doing what I can, when I can, to feel my best in a really full season of life.

If you’re in a busy or overwhelming season, consider this your reminder: small, nourishing choices add up.
