    ✨ Client Spotlight + Grandma's Marathon Weekend Hi ✨ Client Spotlight + Grandma's Marathon Weekend Highlights ✨

So proud of @t.willi_trashman for putting in months of consistent half marathon training and crossing the finish line at the Gary Bjorklund Half Marathon! 🏅

Between a demanding work schedule and life with a newborn, he never lost sight of the goal. Even while battling a cold on race day, he trusted the process, executed a solid race fueling and finished strong. It wasn't a PR day—but it was a huge win in consistency, resilience, and showing up.

This weekend also gave me the chance to experience race weekend from the other side—as both coach and spectator. It made me appreciate his support throughout my own training even more. From solo parenting during long runs to early morning race drop-offs and navigating race day logistics, he's been there every step of the way.

A huge thank you to @balancedpacetherapy for spending the weekend with us—we loved having you there!

And to top it all off, I am thankful for a kid-free evening for Des and Kara's live show. Such an inspiring way to wrap up an unforgettable Grandma's Marathon weekend.

Me: "Of course I'm crying. 😭❤️"

There is something incredibly special about watching your child discover a sport that has brought you so much joy over the years. Seeing him cross the finish line with the biggest smile made every happy tear worth it.

And yes... he made sure to tell everyone he beat his mom. 😂 Enjoy it while it lasts, kid!

So grateful to @grandmasmarathon for creating opportunities that inspire the next generation of runners and make family memories we'll never forget.
Slowing down is hard. As a runner, it’s not easy t Slowing down is hard. As a runner, it’s not easy to take your foot off the gas when the goals ahead feel so exciting and within reach. 🏃🏼‍♀️✨

But lately, I’m learning to see rest differently — not as laziness, but as an intentional pause before the next season begins. A chance to fully heal, reset, and recover before chasing the next challenge with everything I have.

There’s a time for the grind, for pushing limits, for training hard and racing hard… but it’s not every day or every season of life. The pause after a demanding season — whether from running, racing, motherhood, or just life itself — is often what prepares us best for what’s ahead.
This season has reminded me that recovery is productive too. Rest creates strength. Healing matters. And slowing down can be just as purposeful as moving fast.

We’re especially grateful for my parents, who have made this season of intentional rest so much easier. From entertaining a toddler, burping babies, feeding us, and loving us so well — they’ve truly been the MVPs this past month. ❤️
